DEFINITION OF LISTENERS

People who listen to music at home belong to two groups - Random listeners and critical listeners.

The random listeners listen to music "by the way" - means listening to music and at the same time reading the newspaper, playing with the kids, washing dishes in the kitchen and so on..

The critical listeners listen to music like they do at the concert hall - sitting in front of the stereo system and doing nothing but listening. Actually, the random listeners don't need a stereo system, they can listen to a cheap tape player and enjoy music as they can't get an "image" if the stereo is in the living room and they listen to the music in the kitchen.

The critical listeners must have a good stereo system. The problem is that maybe many people who wish to be "critical listeners" are not - only because they didn't know how to buy a good stereo system.

A stereo system that doesn't work as it should - is unpleasant to listen to, a good stereo inviting the listener to sit and listen more and more. It is important to know, that every one of us have the ability to tell if a stereo system is a good one or not, it's a "feature" of our hearing system and has nothing to do with musical talent, "sensitive ears" or "golden ears".

There are few simple basics one has to know while choosing a stereo, and following simple rules give excellent choice for sure.

I promise - everyone who will follow this guide, will surely have the needed basics.
